Our passion is the great outdoors. We love to discover new places, but unfortunately we have encountered all too often the destructive effects of plastic pollution in the most remote corners of the globe.
Thus the idea came to combine the two – a great journey with a great cause. PlasticNotSoFantastic was born…

Hello from Tromsø, northern Norway. You have an impressive website, and a winner of a project, I think. Thanks also for posting your both beautiful and thought-provoking pictures from your part of the world. Looking at your route, I see that you will not be visiting northern Europe/Scandinavia. Ocean currents and wind patterns bring marine litter to our latitudes too, and there is a growing awareness to the problem here. If you want to come and see for yourself, just take the detour, no more than a few 1000 km extra, and I can show you around

Hi!!Congrats for Courage and your acrion!! It would be great if you visti us here in Greece. There is not that big problem such in the Emirates or other similar countries but there are much space for improvent. Actually there is a problem in using the super market plastic bags (which are for free) and in throwing garbage anywhere. We would be glad to see you in Greece!!

lovely to hear from you. The Der Spiegel article did its round, and was well received. Thank-you again for putting us in the spotlight.
The trip is going well so far, currently in very civilized North Wales, but the roughing part of the adventure will start again soon enough.
We will be back in Dubai / Abu-Dhabi by early October.
